VOLUNTARY SOCIAL YEAR

What is Volutary Social Year

 Volutary Social Year – Offers young people between the ages
of 18 and above the opportunity to do something good for themselves
and for other people in the community while gaining work experience.
The programme lasts at least 6 months, and most often 12 months.

Requirements for FSJ (Volunteer)

1. Age 18 and not older than 26
2. Completed Secondary Education
3. Have done any profession course
4. Have done German Language Course
5. Have A1 Certificate with 70%
6. Have a valid Passport

Requirements for BFD (Volunteer)

1. Age 27 and above
2. Completed Secondary Education
3. Have done any profession course
4. Have done German Language Course
5. Have A2 Certificate
6. Have a valid Passport

Benefits;

– A money allowance(250€ – 550€)
– You are entitled to have your own room
– Tax-exempt public insurance for healthcare, pension benefits, accidents,
 unemployment and  nursing care.
